One Health in a Warming World: A Toxicologist's Perspective
As the climate crisis accelerates, toxicology is entering uncharted territory. Traditional paradigms of hazard identification and risk assessment are being challenged by a rapidly changing exposome, where rising temperatures, extreme weather events, environmental pollution, and shifting patterns of disease interact to modify susceptibility to xenobiotics and health outcomes.
In this webinar, Prof. Félix Carvalho will discuss these emerging issues through the lens of the One Health approach, highlighting why toxicologists must play a central role in anticipating, understanding, and responding to the health consequences of a warming planet.
